| How you reach it | The Moment web app and Telegram | The Muse app on iOS, Android and the web, or WhatsApp; rolling out in the US (Meta) | Text message, WhatsApp or a call, no app; private access (TechCrunch) |
| Before it acts | Shows the plan, each step's permission level and cost, and asks before anything that matters | "Checks with the person before sensitive actions like sending an email or making a purchase" (Meta) | A tester reported it sent an email for her without checking first (TechCrunch) |

| What it remembers | Your plans, your rules and the receipts of what ran | Continuously updated profiles of users and the people they mention, refreshed hourly (TIME) | A tester found it still summarising her inbox after she disconnected Google (TechCrunch) |

Where the others do more
Today Muse can send emails, book travel, fill out forms and negotiate for you, and keeps working after you close the app (Meta). Testers describe Instinct booking reservations, scheduling rides and cleaning up inboxes (TechCrunch). Moment does less on purpose: it adds events to your Google Calendar once you connect it, sends reminders by Telegram, WhatsApp or web push, and does not handle money in this version.
Where Moment is different
- Your rules, written down. You decide in plain words what may run alone and what always asks first.
- The plan before the action. Every step shows what it will touch and what it costs before it runs.
- A receipt for every plan that ran. One timeline of what happened, so nothing happens out of sight.
- Connect only when a step needs it. If a plan needs your calendar, Moment asks for that one connection at that step, not for everything on day one.
Six questions to ask any personal AI agent
- Which actions can it take without asking me?
- Can it spend money or agree to anything in my name?
- Who can read my data, including the company that makes it?
- Is my data used to train its models by default, and how do I opt out?
- What happens to what it read from my accounts after I disconnect them?
- Can I see a log of everything it did?
If you want an agent that books and buys for you today, Muse or Instinct will do more. If you want to see every step and keep money out of the AI's hands, that is what Moment is built for.
